But what’s the point of enjoying this game at its finest without experiencing all the secrets and Easter eggs hidden spread all over the game? Today, let’s talk about some of the best hidden secrets and Easter eggs in God of War that you might have missed.

The Witch’s Cave

This game simply can’t stop mesmerizing its players as it contains a secret area known as the Witch’s Cave. You can find this hidden cave in Midgard near the Lake of Nine. This secret area can be accessed by going through a well-hidden door in the main game. It contains some powerful runes and a few other surprises that make it worth exploring. Moreover, you will also find a few of the game’s side-quests scattered around this area.

The Leviathan Axe

This is Kratos’ iconic weapon, but it isn’t as simple as it seems at first glance. Kratos can upgrade his axe in various ways, such as by unlocking new abilities and enchantments. However, you may not have noticed a hidden “Ice Blast” ability that unlocks after completing all the main story missions. Once unlocked, this ability gives Kratos the power to summon a powerful ice blast that freezes his targets in place. You may even use this ability to solve some of the game’s puzzles and secrets.

As we said before, this game is brimming with secrets and Easter eggs. One of those eggs is that God of War heavily features Norse mythology. From the characters to the locations, almost everything in this game has ties to some part of Norse mythology. You will find some direct references to famous figures like Odin, Thor, and Baldur and interesting locations like Jottunheim and Asgard. Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Easter Eggs

The MCU is famous for its Norse mythology Easter eggs, and God of War is no exception. There are tons of references to Marvel movies scattered throughout the game, so you can have a mini-marathon while playing through the story.
